I currently work part-time for local government in the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Team. I support and educate families in the home with sleep and settling, normalising infant behaviour, reading their cues, breast and bottle feeding and developing routines that suit the infant and family. I also facilitate first-time parent groups in the local community, supporting both Mums and Dads to increase their confidence in parenting.
I have nurtured many mothers through their darkest days of Post Natal Depression, and can work closely together with you to increase a bond that will help your baby grow mentally and physically. Maybe you bonded with your baby the first time you saw them, but it’s OK and normal if you didn’t feel an instant connection. Bonding and attachment can take weeks or months of getting to know and understand your baby. Improving sleep patterns can make a huge positive impact on your relationship with your baby, and everyone else in the family.
I have a current working with children check, a police check and I’m fully up to date with immunisations.
