Get to know me

Hi, I’m Andrea!

I’m a Certified Paediatric Sleep & Development Practitioner and a mother of three girls, based in Melbourne.

I started my career over 20 years ago in Sleep School, back when strict sleep training was the standard. Even then, I could see there were gentler ways to help families. Becoming a parent myself only strengthened that belief, I experienced the exhaustion of night wakings, the fleeting daytime naps, and the slow drift into survival mode.

I follow the latest research and take a developmental approach, guiding families to make the changes they need while protecting and supporting their child’s neurodevelopment.

Sleep deprivation doesn’t just make you tired — it can affect your confidence, patience, and joy. If you’re feeling lost in the fog, you are not failing, and you are not alone.

My professional background

I am the founder of Sleep Hunter, supporting families across Melbourne through home visits, telehealth, and clinic consultations. I also run sensory play sessions and provide hands-on guidance in clinic settings, helping babies and toddlers settle, develop routines, and thrive emotionally and physically.

With over 20 years’ experience working with babies and children — in Sleep School programs, and Maternal and Child Health Nurse (MCHN) services — I have a broad understanding of the challenges families face.

I guide families in the direction that suits them best — whether that’s supporting safe co-sleeping, establishing routines in a cot or floor bed, or gently fostering more independent sleep. My approach is always responsive, flexible, and tailored to each baby and family.
